LCS partners with Bud Light, naming them the official beer of the league

The LCS is just a few days from opening the 2020 spring split season, but the North American region is already bringing yet another new partner into the fold. Recently, Huya became their exclusive broadcast partner, and now Riot’s NA league has announced Bud Light as its latest partner for League. Bud Light is a beer brewed by Anheuser-Busch, one of the largest brewing companies in the USA.

The LCS and Bud Light partnership details

The Bud Light partnership means that they will provide drinks for fans during League matches at all LCS events. Only people who are of age can partake in these drinks, as they contain alcohol. Of course, the agreement goes beyond just offering some refreshing beverages. They will also team up to provide creative content revolving around the league.

Here are the full details from the League of Legends website:

…Bud Light will be delivering “How I LCS” themed viewing parties, presenting one of the most celebratory moments in LoL, the “Ace Moment,” on LCS broadcasts, and supplying our new post-show after Monday Night League, which will be streamed across the LCS and Bud Light’s Twitch channels.

In addition to this, the groups will collaborate on an “after-hours” post-show, with the name reveal coming later. This show will air exclusively on Bud Light’s Twitch channel. It will feature LCS stars, star guests, and other surprises throughout the season.

Riot’s Leagues continue to set the pace when it comes to strategic partnerships, further expanding the League of Legends universe. Some League fans have expressed concern about advertising an alcoholic drink to fans who are mostly underaged. However, Riot LCS says us that only fans of legal age will be allowed to get these drinks through mobile bars and beer gardens.

The LCS 2020 season kicks off on Jan. 25 with a clash between Cloud9 and Team Liquid. Will you be one of the fans watching this action with a Bud Light in hand?
