The internet reacts to LS’ release from Cloud9

Several members of the League of Legends Championship Series State Farm analyst desk have expressed their shock regarding LS’s release. The news came out in the middle of the Saturday night broadcast and was reacted to in real-time by the members of the desk. James “Dash” Patterson reacted with an appropriate gif of himself that represents the shock felt by the community.

Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen, the AD Carry for Cloud9’s Academy team expressed his own distress towards the situation, giving no details to the situation, but showing the toll that the news has on members of the Cloud9 team.

“What a f*cked up day,” Zven tweeted.

Along with Zven’s sentiment, Marius “Veigar_v2” Aune, one of the coaches for Cloud9, expressed the same sentiment not long after.

“Sh*t situation, all I can say. :(,” Veigar_v2 tweeted.

One thing that rings true throughout the reactions is that there has been no official explanation for LS’s release, and no members of the Cloud9 staff are able to speak on the situation. Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami, Cloud9’s midlaner, was asked about the situation in a post-game scrum and replied: “No comment.”

The CEO of T1, Joe Marsh expressed his support for LS in a reply to the now ex-head coach of Cloud9, reminding him of the several potential opportunities that he will have despite this recent loss.

“When one door closes, 600 will open for you,” Marsh replied to LS.

On a lighter note, a congressman from Portugal, André Pinotes Batista, has also weighed in on the situation and revealed that he is an avid fan of the League of Legends Championship Series, League of Legends European Championship and League of Legends Champions Korea.
