League of Legends to gift 10 days of login bonuses for 10-year anniversary

To celebrate Riot Games’ 10-year anniversary event, League of Legends will be gifting players with login bonuses over a 10 day period. Each day’s cosmetic reward is unique and will range from summoner icons to currency. This in-game event was announced along with news about Riot Games’ other releases like the Wild Rift mobile and console game, the digital card game Legends of Runeterra, and the shooter game nicknamed Project A.

League of Legends: 10 days

The 10 days of login bonus gifting will begin on Oct 17 as part of the 10-year anniversary celebration. However, players can only qualify for this login bonus if they had created an account before the 10-year anniversary stream. Images of the rewards are showcased in the Tweet. It includes a unique summoner icon, 6,300 Blue Essence, 3,000 Orange Essence, and more. For those unaware, Essence is one of the in-game currencies that can be used to unlock League of Legends content. It shouldn’t be confused with Riot Points, which are purchasable with real world currency instead.

Other rewards include party hats, champion animations, and rewards for the other Riot Games titles. The egg shown is most likely a Little Legend egg for Teamfight Tactics. The cards depicted are Prestige Points, and not to be mixed up with the newly introduced Legends of Runeterra digital card game. No further information has been released about the exact reward details. It also hasn’t been clarified on whether the League of Legends daily mission has to be completed first either.

Riot Games’ announcements

During the 10-year anniversary event stream by Riot Games, several other massive announcements were made. This includes a shooter title nicknamed Project A, which looks like a cross between Overwatch and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It has a cartoony look and features multiple characters or champions. Some of the abilities shown have similarities to those of Overwatch heroes.

The Legends of Runeterra digital card game was also released, which is already on the top of Twitch. In addition, a new support marksman champion has been announced named Senna, along with the reveal of League of Legends: Wild Rift, the mobile and console version. Each and every one of these announcements is huge on its own.
