The Play-In Stage will run from October 2-5 and October 7-8 and will play out in Berlin, in the LEC Studio. The following teams will compete in the Play-In Stages: the third-seeded teams from North America, South Korea, Europe, and Chinese Taipei region; the second-seeded team from the VCS, Vietnam region; and the first-seed teams from Brazil (CBLOL), Russia (LCL), Japan (LJL), Latin-America (LLA), Australia (OPL), LST (Southeast Asia), and last up Turkey (TCL).

These twelve teams will play for four spots in the group stages starting later in the month. The other teams from the regions with multiple spots at Worlds will directly qualify for the group stages. These include the top two teams from North America, South Korea, Europe, and Chinese Taipei, and the number one team from Vietnam. As the region winning Worlds 2018, China (LPL) will receive three spots for the 2019 Worlds group-stages and skip having to go through the play-in stages.

Group Stages

The group stages will run from October 12-15 and October 17-20. These will play out in Berlin, but at the Verti Music Hall rather than the LEC Studios. This is great news for players considering attending the event, as the Verti Music Hall can seat up to 4350 attendees at the event. Of the 16 teams competing in the group stages of the event, 8 teams will qualify to play in the quarterfinals of the League of Legends World Championship of 2019.

Quarter & Semifinals

The quarterfinals and semifinals will both play out at the next location in Europe: Madrid, Spain. The quarterfinals will play out on October 26-27, with the semifinals a week later on November 2-3. The venue of the Quarter and Semifinals will be the prestigious Palacio Vistalegre, a venue that can seat nearly 21,000 attendees throughout their three main spaces. The biggest space, called The Arena, can seat up to 14,000 attendees at a time.

AccorHotels League of Legends Words 2019

This year’s League of Legends Worlds Finals will be held in Paris, France. The date of the finals is November 10, and it will be hosted at the AccorHotels Arena, also known as the Bercy Arena.

The AccorHotels Arena is one of the biggest venues to date, seating up to 20,300 attendees at once. This prestigious arena will be a venue for the 2024 Summer Olympics and has served as a venue before for League of Legends back in 2017. At the time, the EU LCS (now LEC) hosted its summer finals at the AccorHotels Arena.

Tickets for all events won’t be available until later in the year. However, if you plan to attend any of the events, it will be worth booking accommodation in advance. Prices will likely go up as the event draws closer. For those watching at home, all aspects of the event will be streamed on various platforms found on the official League of Legends website.
