The Fortnite Icon Series skin list is about to grow in size, according to data-mined leaks. Perennial NBA all-star and four-time champion, LeBron James will be the next member of the exclusive Icon Series.

LeBron James may be out of the NBA Playoffs but his summer is still action-packed. He’s the star in the upcoming film Space Jam: A New Legacy, a reboot of the acclaimed Space Jam movie starring Michael Jordan that released in 1996. The film releases later this month on July 16 and it seems Fortnite is offering some extra promotion with James’ induction into the Icon Series.

The Icon Series takes famous personalities related to Fortnite and designs a skin based on their likeness. So far, celebrities like Travis Scott, Major Lazer and Marshmello have all made their way into Fortnite and it seems LeBron is next in line.

Fortnite Icon Series to debut LeBron James

In the past, players have tried to recreate LeBron James in Fortnite more so than any other NBA player. Now, it seems, players won’t have to create their own likeness. Data-miner @ShiinaBR had the exclusive on the news and fellow miner @HYPEX provided some more details around the leak.

Apparently, challenges known as King’s Bling will arrive along with the Icon Series skin. These challenges can ultimately unlock a “custom goldness slider” once they’re all complete. There’s currently no word on what other cosmetics could be included with the LeBron James skin. The skin itself could very well recreate his Tune Squad jersey from Space Jam: A New Legacy.

While the NBA star might not have a direct connection to Fortnite like other Icon Series members, his family does. His son Bronny James is a noted gamer and a member of FaZe Clan along with being a highly-touted basketball prospect. The NBA has also crossed paths with Fortnite, as all 30 NBA teams’ jerseys can be donned in the game.

The expected release date for the new Icon Series skin is unknown. With Space Jam: A New Legacy releasing on July 16, it’s possible Epic Games will introduce the skin in conjunction with the movie.
