London Royal Ravens keep Zed on the starting roster

The London Royal Ravens have announced that Zach “Zed” Denyer, after an impressive performance, will remain on the team for the rest of the season.

Zed joined the London Royal Ravens just days before the Stage 1 Major, when Alex “Alexx” Carpenter returned home for a family emergency. London slotted Zed in after his mediocre performance for the Paris Legion last season. He was semi-active on a Challenger team for Cold War but never made a statement for himself. His team flowed at the middle of the pack outside of placing sixth at the Challenger Playoffs.

London was eliminated from the Stage 1 Major in the Lower Bracket but made a resurgence with the addition of rookie Paul “PaulEhx” Avila. Between Zed and PaulEhx, London has looked like a completely different team in Stage 2. They are currently 2-1 in Pool A after a decisive victory over Los Angeles Guerrillas and Thieves. New York Subliners have been the only team to defeat the Royal Ravens. However, even that game was close and taken to a gave four.

Zed impresses on London Royal Ravens

Zed has been one of the star players for the London Royal Ravens, constantly putting up a 1.0+ KD. This spectacular performance has been mirrored by his teammates who have also been performing exceptionally. However, Zed has begun to shine with his individual plays, which have propelled London to these wins.

In London’s loss to New York, Zed tied teammate Sean “Seany” O’Connor for the second-best KD on their team. He dropped a .97 KD and went negative two across the entire four-game series. With London now currently third overall in Pool B, they have the opportunity to start in the Upper Bracket for the Stage 2 Major. This would be a dramatic difference from the Lower Bracket start at the previous Major. Zed’s permanent addition to the team has been only positive alongside the addition of PaulEhx.

With Zed’s permanent place on the roster, it is uncertain whether Alexx or Trei “Zer0” Morris will return to the starting roster. London is still due to play Toronto Ultra and Atlanta FaZe before the Major.
