Looking for an Xbox Series X? These retailers might restock soon

Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Series S have been out since Tuesday of this week, but tracking one down is still a major problem for many would-be gamers. While the Xbox Series X|S has had a record-breaking launch, consoles have been scarce since. While certain retailers have seen limited restocks, it will take a little bit of work for players still looking to pick up a new console. Daily Esports has assembled a list of major retailers who have the highest chance of seeing a restock over the next few days.

With two versions of the Xbox Series X & S, at $500 and $300 respectively, there are some major differences to keep in mind while ordering. The Series X is overall beefier and a more powerful console than the cheaper Series S. The Series X has 12.15 teraflops of GPU power, while the Series S has 4 teraflops of GPU power, a significant decrease in power. For comparison, the Xbox One X has 6 teraflops of GPU power.

While the difference in GPU sounds significant, it only translates to a difference in resolution. The Series X will be able to put out 4K resolution, while the Series S will output 1440p, but will still upscale to 4K on a compatible television. The other major difference is that the Xbox Series S does not have a disc drive. So long as you don’t mind going digital-only with your games, you should be all set.

To help you track down an Xbox Series X|S and various retailers, we created two separate lists for either version of the console.

If hunting down sales in-person is more your speed, it might be best to catch some Black Friday sales. GameStop will have a minimum of two Xbox Series X consoles in each store on Nov. 27 at 7 a.m. The ad does not guarantee Xbox Series S consoles at that time. Walmart’s Black Friday ad was released online thanks to Twitter user Wario64, and with it are more consoles. The only caveat is that quantities will only be available online.

If you were one of the lucky few to pick up an Xbox Series X|S at launch, go enjoy your console! If you haven’t found one yet, or see any consoles available online, let us know in the comments below!
