MiBR part ways with LUCAS1 and bring on meyern

The rumors have become reality. MiBR have parted ways with Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles. At the same time, 17-year-old rising star Ignacio “meyern” Meyer has joined the team in his place with immediate effect. The reconstruction of the Brazilian powerhouse continues as we gradually enter the 2020 season in CSGO.

LUCAS1 fails to live up to expectations

The Brazilian came on-board following the departure of João “felps” Vasconcellos. It has barely been six months since LUCAS1 joined MiBR from Luminosity, but he now looks to be a free agent going into the 2020 CSGO season.

Coming in as a supposedly reliable replacement and team member for MiBR, expectations were much higher for LUCAS1. Unfortunately, he averaged an HLTV rating 2.0 of 1.02 on LANs – a number very much average across the CSGO scene. Compared to the form he had back when he was with Immortals, the player has lost his edge.

Naturally, the team suffered greatly after Marcelo “coldzera” David’s departure to FaZe Clan, leaving them a little distorted. Nevertheless, LUCAS1 has been cut from the team to make room for a more exciting and younger rising talent in the world of Brazilian CS.

A young star joins the ranks

The MiBR roster is filled with experienced players, but now they have recruited the young and promising meyern to bring a new edge to the team. Being only 17, meyern started out his career in Furious in 2017 before moving onto Isurus, then joining the ranks of Sharks. The youngster currently holds a very impressive HLTV rating 2.0 of 1.20, which is way above average. Despite Sharks’ underwhelming results against top teams, it was meyern who consistently stood out alongside fellow Argentinian Luca “Luken” Nadotti.

Can meyern be the spark that MiBR needs to rekindle their potential?

The young player will now have the opportunity to shine on the CSGO stage with MiBR at the ongoing cs_summit 5. Time will tell if fresh blood will help the team be ready when ESL One Rio 2020 Major comes to their home turf next year.
