E3 is just around the corner, and already Microsoft is kicking things off with a bang. It was leaked a few weeks ago, but the company has now officially announced the Fortnite Battle Royale Special Edition Edition Xbox One S 1TB. Not only does it look good, sporting a deep purple finish, but it also comes with some extra goodies for Fortnite fans. Microsoft wants players to give themselves “the royal treatment” with this new bundle, and they for sure will.

Included in this bundle is the console, a matching controller, a copy of Fortnite, the sweet Dark Vertex Cosmetic Set — whose contents you can see in the image below — and one free month of Xbox Live Gold. Talk about a sweet deal for new Fortnite players or those of you who are simply collectors.

Microsoft celebrates E3 early

You won’t have to wait long to get your hands on all this. It is set to release on June 7 and will retail for about $300 USD. You can already pre-order the bundle at Best Buy and GameStop. Additionally, in celebration of E3, you can get $50 dollars off during a limited-time sale ending on June 17 (the US Only). Do note, this sale price is not showing on GameStop’s site at the moment.

It’s truly these exclusive skins, weapons, and gliders — plus those coveted V-Bucks — that really make Fortnite, well… Fortnite. While the game is free-to-play, half the fun is decking out your character to the max and participating in events. Just don’t break the bank over it.

Microsoft certainly wants to keep the attention exclusively on them this E3, but we will have to wait and see just what else is up to their sleeves. Could the next generation of Xbox be shown? Make sure you tune into Microsoft’s E3 presentation on June 9 so you don’t miss a thing. And remember, as with all special edition consoles, this one is sure to sell out quickly. So if you want it, don’t wait.

I would say this has to be one of the most stylish looking Xbox consoles I’ve seen to date. Let us know if you plan on snapping it up in the comments!
