MiDNiTE’s new role
With OpTic Gaming under new ownership with Immortals Gaming Club’s acquisition, MiDNiTE is one of many who has left the former organization. Since Minnesota is her home and the Call of Duty franchise is starting up, this was the perfect opportunity. MiDNiTE describes that she was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings that own WISE Ventures Esports.
“As soon as I heard about the Call of Duty team announcement here in Minnesota, I was instantly obviously interested. My two favorite things: Call of Duty, Minnesota Vikings, Esports,” said Ashley “MiDNiTE” Glassel on her new role. “It just makes sense. I was still wrapping up things with OpTic though and I wanted to make sure that chapter was closed.”
Minnesota Call of Duty
MiDNiTE goes on to describe that she will be starting off in a consulting role for the Minnesota Call of Duty franchise. However, she will also help in creating content around the players. Other tasks include designing the franchise headquarters and helping with the management of the team.
Since MiDNiTE has so many years of experience in the Call of Duty scene, she can help with many aspects that the franchise will tackle as they prepare for the 2020 Call of Duty League. She mentions that it’s a “dream gig” and that it was “signed in ink.”
With the change of traditional esports organizations to a franchise structure, many other content creators are sure to transition over. Which franchise are you rooting for in the upcoming 2020 CDL?
