Minnesota adds Alexx to its Call of Duty League roster

The Minnesota Call of Duty League organization has announced that another member has joined its roster. Alex “Alexx” Carpenter, a native of England, will be joining Minnesota for the 2020 inaugural season. Being one of the first teams to announce any roster, this is Minnesota’s first signing since that initial announcement. With Alexx joining the roster, the trend of mixing different nationalities together in the CDL continues. We currently have no information on when Minnesota’s next signing will be revealed, though there are some rumors as to whom they will sign.

Alexx joins Minnesota for the 2020 CDL season

While Minnesota was among the first CDL teams to announce roster signings, they’ve been pretty quiet overall. Though they’re active on social media with various podcasts and short videos, their personnel is kept secret for the most part.

However, it appears with Modern Warfare only two weeks away, they’re beginning to fill out their starting five. The most recent roster announcement of Alexx can be found on Twitter. Minnesota is putting tons of production value into their content, which is refreshing to see.

Of course, like all league transactions, this will need to be confirmed by Activision and the CDL. However, there haven’t been any problems on that front up to this point.

Alexx is a native of London, England and most recently played for Team Reciprocity during Black Ops 4. He wound up improving Team Reciprocity, as they placed no lower than 7-8th with him in the lineup. They concluded the season with a top 6 showing at Call of Duty Champs.

This signing continues the trend of CDL teams going international with their rosters. New York, Paris, and now Minnesota all have different nationalities competing for their team. While this is nice to see for the community as a whole, an adjustment period might be required for those without an international roster experience.

In regards to whom Minnesota will sign to fill out their starting five, CDLIntel on Twitter believes former FaZe player Asim may fill out the fifth spot. CDLIntel has been extremely accurate when it comes to roster leaks, so the information is credible.
