“No, we’re not late. We prefer the term ‘third party,’” said Misfits. All three players come from prior H1Z1 backgrounds, with Losido and moose with a competitive background.

The three players also competed together under the organization name “Dream Team” for the APEX.PRO North American League and T1 x FACEIT Apex Legends Invitational. However, for the T1 x FACEIT Apex Legends Invitational, they scored a 13th place finish that didn’t come with any prize pool winnings.

Taylor “moose” Adams is the in-game leader for Misfits. He previously played under Tempo Storm for the H1 Pro League. He has also competed in events like the DreamHack Elite series and the TwitchCon Invitational. Moose’s main legend is Gibraltar.

Cole “Losido” Garret Stewart is a player for Misfits Gaming. He previously played under Team Cryptik for DreamHack Atlanta 2017 among other online tournaments. Losido’s main legend is Caustic.

Matthew “help” Stokes is a player for Misfits Gaming. He previously competed at the H1Z1 Versus the World tournament as well. Help’s main legend is Lifeline.

Apex Legends updates

With Seeking Alpha claiming Apex Legends is overvalued and Ghost Gaming disbanding their roster, it seems like a strange time to enter. No official esports circuit has been set up by Respawn Entertainment yet. The only tournament with a cash prize pool is hosted by T1 in partnership with the APEX.PRO discord server.

Things are looking up for the game with a recent update posted on the subreddit. These range from fixes being addressed for bugs to rules being put in place to prevent piggybacking behavior. However, with a declining Twitch viewer base, what Apex Legends needs is an official competitive league.

Why do you think these teams are still signing Apex Legends teams?
