Another playlist update has gone live in Modern Warfare today, which is now available for all players and systems. While it’s not a huge title update like most are hoping for, this does bring some new content to the game. Coming with the update is the all-new 3v3 Gunfight, which adds another player to each map. Shoot House 24/7 is also returning, replacing Shipment once again, along with the Drop Zone and Cranked game modes. There’s no required download for this playlist update, but you will need to restart your game to apply the changes.

3v3 Gunfight makes its debut in Modern Warfare

Infinity Ward clearly sees the most popular aspect of their game, being Gunfight. Though that may not be what they intended, it’s where we are, as the regular multiplayer has failed to meet expectations. In the last couple of weeks, we’ve seen both 1v1 and 3v3 Gunfight make their debut.

Gunfight is easily one of the most enjoyable modes in recent memory for Call of Duty. The randomly generated loadouts mixed with tiny maps offer both highly competitive gameplay and a plethora of entertaining moments. So, it makes sense Infinity Ward is trying to capitalize on their biggest success this year.

In terms of standard multiplayer, Modern Warfare is receiving two previous modes, Drop Zone and Cranked. Both of these game modes can be found in the “Same Day Delivery” playlist. Also returning is the Shoot House 24/7 playlist. While this is good for fans of the map, it replaces Shipment 24/7, a playlist many use for camo challenges and fast-paced fun.

Perhaps in the future Infinity Ward can find a way to include two separate playlists for Shoot House and Shipment. Though for now, it seems each will replace the other every other week or so.
