Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 1 is now live, with a download going out across all systems early Tuesday afternoon. Coming with Season 1 today are three new maps, a slew of bug fixes and some weapon balancing, and the all-new Battle Pass. Activision has stated that new content will be releasing each week in Season 1. So, although we won’t see the maps Vacant or Shipment today, we’ll likely see them in a week or two. That goes for the Infected game mode and some other content as well. Let’s hop in and see everything that arrived with the Season 1 update today.

All-new maps and content come with Season 1
Over the past few days, we’ve seen teasers of the new content for Season 1. Today, we’re seeing all of that content released to the general population. Here’s a list of every piece of content in the update:
Maps
- Cargo (Gunfight)
- Atrium (Gunfight)
- Crash (6v6)
- Port (Ground War)
Special Operations
- Bomb Squad
- Grounded
- Pitch Black
- Just Reward
Game Mode
- Reinforce
Weapons
- RAM-7
- Holger-26
Operators
- Mara
- Nikto
While most of the above content is available right away, some of it is within the new Battle Pass. A 100-tier content stream, the Battle Pass features tons of rewards, 23 of which are free. Included in those rewards are the new weapons along with special blueprints for those weapons and many more already in Modern Warfare.
Also included are the two new Operators, Mara and Nikto. Mara is unlocked when you purchase the Premium Battle Pass for 1,000 COD Points ($10). You can also purchase the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,400 COD Points to unlock the first 20 tiers.
Patch notes for Season 1
Along with the slew of new content, we also received a title update for Modern Warfare. Update 1.10 brings a multitude of bug fixes along with one weapon nerf, the .357 Buckshot: “.357: Buckshot: reduced damage range, reduced effective hip fire damage. Tuned spread adjustments from barrel attachments.” The .357 with that attachment was wreaking havoc in public matches, so it’s good to see it nerfed.
The rest of the patch notes are available. As mentioned, there will be more updates coming throughout the duration of Season 1, so hopefully we see some more meaningful changes in the next patch.
That’s all for the Modern Warfare Season 1 update! Let us know what you think about the new season in the comments. Make sure to keep up with Daily Esports for all of your Modern Warfare coverage.
