Founded in 2019, Mustache Masters is dedicated to increasing awareness of men’s health. The online event features a competitive CS: GO tournament alongside good-natured antics as the donation goals are met. Proceeds raised during the event will be donated to the Movember Foundation.

Since 2003, the Movember Foundation has supported over 1,000 men’s health organizations; specifically, the foundation funds projects that focus on men’s mental health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. To make a significant impact, the Movember Foundation invests “in country- and culture-specific health projects while collaborating on game-changing solutions that address the men’s health crisis on a global scale.”

Event organizer Mike “DarfMike” Winnick said that Mustache Masters hopes to inspire community support by creating exciting donation goals and a fun-loving atmosphere.

The event itself is a very goofy ordeal with escalating stretch goals on the broadcast and an atmosphere of good-natured fun,” DarfMike stated. Mustache Masters said via twitter that, this time around, it has “beefed up [their] goals” and teased a few “surprises” as the event unfolds.

Mustache Masters creates a jubilant fundraising atmosphere which opens the door for positive discourse surrounding a serious issue. The organization’s website states, “the heart of what brought the Mustache Masters crew together was that we felt the esports community needed an outlet to raise awareness for men’s mental health.”

During the pre-show, Mustache Masters will reveal the tournament bracket and goal information, as well as speak about the Movember Foundation and more. The CS:GO tournament will take place online from Nov. 20-21, featuring a maximum of 32 teams.
