Mythic welcomes back Adam “Polen” Polen to its starting CSGO lineup, and Canadian player David “DAVEY” Stafford joins as well for season 33. James “hazed” Cobb and Samuel “SileNt” Portillo are stepping down from the active roster for season 33.

Season 32 brought significant changes to Mythic Reborn’s long-standing CSGO ESEA MDL roster. Mythic finished the previous season 5-12, making it no surprise when the organization announced a roster revamp. Todd “anger” Williams and Polen, long-time members, were no longer set to start. While they remained active streamers for Mythic, they were free to explore team options if they wished. Instead, a trio of players — Kaitlin “keiti” Boop, Corbin “C0M” Lee, and SileNt — took the reins for Season 32 of Mythic. This season saw a stronger finish of 8-9, and the team hopes to further improve its results with Polen and DAVEY in the refreshed lineup.

A familiar face in Polen

During his break from MDL, Polen focused on streaming CSGO and befriending Twitch giants the likes of Trainwreckstv. Additionally, he has continued to work with good friend and Mythic leader Erik “fl0m” Flom on the inner workings of the organization. Diving into Polen’s roster history, it’s easy to say he has an extensive history with Mythic. He has been rostered with Mythic for the last 10 seasons, including their first season as a team in ESEA Main.

Recently, Polen has begun competing in online tournaments with Mythic. Furthermore, the team participated in the most recent FACEIT’s Winners League tournament, defeating eUnited. Polen’s return to MDL is an exciting event. His previous experience with Mythic will hopefully lead to a seamless transition into the team’s current play style.

A fresh addition in DAVEY

DAVEY has a vast competitive history in professional CSGO with runs on Envy and NRG Esports. Most notable is DAVEY’s history with Splyce. Their roster placed second in 2016 at America’s Minor Champion in Columbus. Following that success, Splyce also competed at ESL Pro League Season 3 and MLG Major Championship in Columbus. After parting ways with Envy in season 29, Stafford joined Savage, continuing to compete in ESEA MDL.

Mythic will be entering season 33 of ESEA MDL with the following roster and will debut during the DreamHack Anaheim Open qualifier:

  • Erik “fl0m” Flom
  • Adam “Polen” Polen
  • Kaitlin “keiti” Boop
  • David “DAVEY” Stafford
  • Corbin “C0M” Lee
