League of Legends players have received plenty of surprises this summer, including new champions. Although Yone’s release was two weeks ago, Riot Games may be already teasing the next new champion. Social media users are buzzing about Seraphine, an online sing/songwriter personality, possibly being the next League of Legends champion.

Just a few weeks ago, fans were speculating on Samira being the new champion, but is that still the case? Seraphine has over 58 thousand twitter followers and fans believe she’s Riot’s undercover project. The person behind the username posts digitally altered photo with hints of realism and art, making her seem more cartoon-like. There isn’t much evidence that she’s even a future part of League of Legends, but there are some hints.

Easter eggs and fan interactions

She’s currently following Riot’s K-Pop group K/DA, and is followed by some League-related people. On that list include previous 100 Thieves player William “Meteos” Hartman and Twitch streamer William “Scarra” Li. Additionally, her other social media profiles seem fairly new, with the first posts on her Instagram and Twitter beginning on June 24.

In Riot’s Champion Roadmap, the next champion’s description almost fits the bill with Seraphine. There aren’t any more details to the “sensational mage” description, but you can say Seraphine’s personality is pretty sensational. She’s an aspiring songwriter with thousands of followers and lives a colorful life. She also has her only song posted on Soundcloud, which happens to be a cover of ARY’s “Childhood Dreams.”

This shouldn’t be too much of a deal since these details seem like a huge coincidence. Although her being the next champion may be far-fetched, there is one easter egg some followers may miss. In one of her Instagram pictures, she poses with her cat, but she also has a stuffed Tibbers in the background.

She’s also liked a few tweets that already declare her as League’s newest champion.

Seraphine’s following has grown quickly over the past few days, and it doesn’t look like it’ll stop anytime soon. In the meantime, we’ll keep an eye out for any news regarding Seraphine or Samira for League of Legends. Stick with Daily Esports for more League of Legends news!
