New report leaks changes coming for FaZe, Huntsmen, and OpTic CDL rosters

We’re around a week away from the Free Agency period for the 2021 Call of Duty League season. However, prior to that date officially coming around, rosters are reportedly shuffling quite drastically. Since the 4v4 announcement, CDL teams and players have been frantically trying to figure out their next move. No one wants to be caught off-guard when it comes to roster changes and this apparently involves some high-profile players. According to a new report from an insider, Atlanta, Chicago, and OpTic Gaming are all swapping players for 2021.

The report comes from trusted inside source CDL Intel on Twitter, who is rarely incorrect with his information. He reported earlier today that three of the most notable teams in the CDL are dropping some high-profile players ahead of the 2021 season.

Since 4v4 is now the format, every team will be required to drop at least one starter from its roster. However, it appears that no one is safe, as this new report indicates. According to CDL Intel, Atlanta FaZe is dropping Michael “MajorManiak” Szymaniak for Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson. This is coupled with Preston “Priestahh” Greiner leaving for OpTic Gaming.

In turn, OpTic is releasing Brandon “Dashy” Otell so he can join the Chicago Huntsmen. Also, OG is dropping its two former amateurs in Drazah and Hollow. Lastly, Chicago is likely going to release Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson, but there was no clear indication on where he would end up.

This is quite the turn of events. Observers predicted that Dashy would join forces with his old duo, Seth “Scump” Abner, on the Huntsmen. However, Arcitys joining Atlanta and Priestahh moving over to OpTic is a bit of a surprise. Still, it makes sense, as Arcitys has played with current FaZe members Chris “Simp” Lehr and Tyler “aBeZy” Johnson before. The same goes for Priestahh, as he played with two current OpTic players last year.

We’ll have to wait until at least when Free Agency opens on September 14 to hear if these moves are official. Until then, keep up with Daily Esports for all Call of Duty League news.
