Riot Games announced yesterday that they would be rolling out a hotfix to both Europe and North America to fix some of Valorant‘s apparent issues. Europe was the first to see the hotfix, while North America received it this morning.
Riot has made it its mission to give as many members of the community access to Valorant‘s beta as possible. With thousands of players swarming the beta servers, discoveries and bugs were bound to happen. Valorant agent Cypher is the first to receive changes after players discovered they could shoot opponents through his camera. This gave Cypher players an unfair advantage by allowing them to kill opponents without physically being in front of them. Valorant addressed this indirectly by stating: “Cypher’s camera made less lethal in certain… circumstances”. Riot may not have wanted to specifically state the problem in order to avoid further exploits.
Additionally, the Valorant hotfix patched a number of map exploits that could give the player an unintended advantage over their opponent. Alongside map problems and Cypher adjustments, the patch also fixed audio issues that occurred after consecutive games.

Valorant devs continue to please the community
Riot Games’ developers have been active with the community ever since last week’s launch, making this the best way to receive information about upcoming changes to the game. Just a few days ago, Riot Ziegler revealed on Twitter that ranked play would be coming soon. This was in response to a Valorant fan who asked for a more competitive mode.
Valorant‘s beta release has been the perfect opportunity to express your ideas and concerns for the game. Riot even added another support page just for the new title to ensure players enjoy the beta experience.
