North, the Danish esports organization and esports affiliate of football club F.C. Copenhagen and Nordisk Film, have hired Graham “messioso” Pitt as Head of Esports Operations. Messioso will help with strategic and practical tasks for North’s esports teams.

“We’re looking to establish a permanent sporting team consisting of Graham Pitt and a dedicated professional from the absolute elite, who will be an integral part of the player’s daily routine,” said Christopher Håkonsson, CEO of North, in a statement. “As we go forward, North should compete among the top teams in all esport titles that we compete in.”
Messioso joins North after previously serving as Tournament Director at esports tournament organizer ESL. He also worked with media production company RFRSH Entertainment as Director of Esports Operations. While there, he helped with the BLAST Pro Series, an international Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament consisting of six of the best teams at each event.
In a follow-up Tweet, Messioso says that he is incredibly happy to be working with North. He states that he will be managing and developing the organization’s rosters. In addition, Messioso has given up his shares in British esports organization Reason Gaming to avoid a conflict of interest.

“Thanks is a very small word to the great people I have had the chance to meet and work within Esports and I am so grateful that I got to experience the competitive side of gaming once again,” said Jonas “whimp” Svendsen, in a statement. “From today I will be working for Epic Games, where I will be working on developing their business, which is a step up for me and a move closer to my career ambitions.”
Messioso replaces Whimp, who joined the organization in January of 2018 as Director of Esports. The former Counter-Strike 1.6 player competed from 2003 to 2009, where he achieved many first-place finishes. This hire comes shortly after the organization acquired René “cajunb” Borg from OpTic Gaming, to replace Valdemar “valde” Bjørn on its CS:GO roster. The full Danish roster most recently achieved a 9 – 12th finish at Season 8 of StarSeries & i-League’s Counter-Strike tournament, and took home $7,500.
