Official trailer shows Kylo Ren skin in Fortnite gameplay

The Fortnite and Star Wars collaboration was unveiled on Dec. 14, with an in-game event at Risky Reels showcasing a premiere from the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker movie. While skins for characters like Finn, Rey, and the variant Sith Trooper with red armor have been released, a new trailer confirms that First Order leader Kylo Ren will also make an appearance in the game.

Fortnite Kylo Ren skin

The Kylo Ren skin can be seen briefly in a Fortnite X Star Wars gameplay trailer released by Epic Games. The trailer shows the characters, along with the Fortnite lightsaber and TIE fighters. It also features Ben Solo with a hood and cape, which can’t be seen on the leaked character model.

Some of the other Fortnite skins currently available include the Riot Control Baton pickaxe and Rey’s Quarterstaff pickaxe. Players that have logged in during the weekend event also received a free TIE Whisper Glider skin for their participation. One can also unlock three free skins by completing the event challenges.

Star Wars collaboration

Veteran Fortnite leaker Hypex previously posted to social media with the character models of the Kylo Ren skin, an entirely black outfit with red outlines on the helmet. Other dataminers like S1l0x have also found a skin for Star Wars character Zorii Bliss, in addition to challenges that require a player to deploy the Millennium Falcon Glider and Zorii’s Y Wing Glider.

No further information has been disclosed on the release date of the Kylo Ren skin or glider cosmetics. However, the new Star Wars movie will be released on Dec. 20.
