Earlier today the League of Legends team G2 Esports revealed that Kristoffer “P1noy” Albao Lund Pedersen will become the roster’s newest substitute player. Throughout the years, P1noy was known for a while under the names “Krislund” and “P1noyszn.” However, most players will remember him from his time under the name P1noy.

P1noy’s history in League of Legends

The Danish bot lane player P1noy has been competing for many teams at the professional level since March 2013. Since he started competing he has played for a total of 29 different esports organizations, to various degrees of success. One of P1noy’s most successful times was with Gambit Gaming, back in December 2014. At the time, Gambit Gaming was invited by fan vote to the IEM season 9 Cologne event. The team managed to defeat the favorite at the time, Counter Logic Gaming, to become the champion.

Since this victory in Cologne, P1noy has gone on to become one of the most successful bot lane players that isn’t playing in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC). While P1noy competed shortly in the LEC with the Gambit Gaming lineup, he opted to pursue other opportunities. These include the Danish National League (DEL) with the Sølvkikkert Esports roster, who managed to qualify to the DEL before P1noy left the team. There were also the Nordic Championships, with teams such as Team Atlantis and Ventus Esports in 2018 and 2019, where he managed to lead the teams to back-to-back Nordic Championship titles.

Leaving Nordavind weeks after joining

P1noy was set to compete alongside the new Nordavind League of Legends roster throughout the 2020 season. However, after the team lost both of the 2020 Nordic Championship Spring qualifiers, P1noy was given the opportunity to leave the team and find a spot elsewhere.

At this time it is not yet certain whether P1noy will get much if any playtime on the G2 Esports roster. However, with his performance throughout the last few years, he might well be trying to take over the spot of Luka “Perkz” Perković in some of the team’s games this season.
