The Paris Legion officially announced their starting roster for the 2022 Call of Duty League season on Wednesday. The leaks have turned out to be correct and it seems Paris is holding onto their spot in the league after all. The roster consists of three new faces and one player from last season. Tyler “FeLo” Johnson, John “John” Perez, Jacob “Decemate” Cato and Donny “Temp” Laroda are the members of the 2022 squad.

Paris Legion sign a roster for 2022

Temp is the lone returning member, which is one more than the Legion brought back at the start of last season. The roster consists of established veterans in the scene, two of whom – Decemate and FeLo – ended last season in the Challengers scene. John also spent most of 2021 in Challengers before being picked up by the LA Thieves near the end of the year.

None of these players have much experience with each other as teammates. They also haven’t seen much success, if any, in the two years of the Call of Duty League. Decemate and FeLo were considered two of the top Challengers players last season, but didn’t put up great numbers when called up to a starting roster in 2021. John had a similar story after being signed by the LA Thieves. He put together some decent matches at times, but overall didn’t produce like his 2016-2018 self.

The roster will be coached by Dylan “Theory” McGee, who is another returning member from the 2021 staff. It’s difficult to foresee this roster making much noise during the 2022 season, considering the rosters put together in the offseason. While the top teams haven’t changed much, the bottom-ranked teams have mostly gotten stronger. The Seattle Surge and London Royal Ravens both signed intriguing rosters while the LA Guerrillas spent some serious cash to bring in a star-studded group of players.

Paris predicts to once again be at the bottom of the standings with the teams around them getting better. However, as the CDL has proven, anything is possible with the right group of players. The Legion are hoping this roster is the key to finally bringing some CDL success to Paris.
