In a surprise release, Pokémon HOME is now available for the Nintendo Switch, IOS, and Android devices. The Pokémon HOME app allows players to store, trade, and exchange Pokémon from their games. The app was initially announced at a press conference in 2019 and was scheduled for release this month, without any official date or time.

Pokémon HOME will allow players to store their Pokémon from different games. Players will be able to transfer Pokémon to the app from the Pokémon Bank on the 3DS, Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. Players will be able to move Pokémon from Pokémon HOME to Pokémon Sword and Shield. In the future, players will also be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon GO into Pokémon HOME.

The app will also have different trading services. The GTS, or Global Trade System, allows players to list a Pokémon for trade and display what they want in return. This is a feature that was included in previous Pokémon games but didn’t make it into Pokémon Sword and Shield.

How much does Pokémon HOME cost?

Pokémon HOME is a free service, but players can purchase a premium membership for $3.99 USD per month, $4.99 per 3 months, or $15.99 for a year. Premium allows players to store up to 6,000 Pokémon as well as transfer Pokémon from all other games. Premium also allows players to list up to three Pokémon for trade in the GTS.

The free version only allows for the storage of 30 Pokémon. Players with the free version will be able to list one Pokémon in the GTS. They will also not be able to access the judge feature.

The release of Pokémon HOME will also allow for more Pokémon to be transferred into Sword and Shield. This could change the current competitive metagame. Stay tuned for future Pokémon guides and news stories!
