The VALORANT Champions Tour Champions 2021 tournament is the ultimate proving ground for everything VALORANT, from teams, to coaches and most importantly, fashion. Of course we all want to see who’s going to come out on top as the world’s first VCT Champs, but come on, what we really want to know is who looked best along the way. Here’s where Upcomer’s staff came down on the jerseys of VCT Champions 2021.
Fnatic may have impressed with their playstyle at VALORANT Champions but their jerseys are lackluster at best. Their black jerseys look just the same as the ones they’ve had forever.
— Danny Appleford
Envy’s jerseys took a turn for the worse when they came to Champions. What was once a black jersey featuring a circle N logo turned into a white and blue jersey with just “ENVY” across the front of it and “all good” on the back. It’s more of a motivational quote than a jersey.
14. FULL SENSE
FULL SENSE’s jerseys are similar to Fnatic’s in color scheme but where they make their mark is in the swerve patterns throughout and lack of big sponsor names.
13. Team Secret
Team Secret have always been big into their logo which is nicely incorporated into their jerseys. The inflated logo on a black and white scheme provides a clean look throughout.
12. Vision Strikers
Vision Strikers are a vision of simplicity with their pink and navy blue style. However, there is something missing; they lack the spunk that the other jerseys have.
11. FURIA Esports
FURIA have a fairly simple design with a patterned print instead of a straight black base. Their cool logo does a lot of heavy lifting.
— Declan McLaughlin
A classic jersey design with an interesting black block around the logo. Visually pleasing and simple across the board.
9. X10 CRIT
This jersey reminds me of Red X from “Teen Titans.” A pretty busy design that is hard to look away from.
8. Crazy Raccoon
The neon red on black and gray always pops from these jerseys and adds some much-needed contrast to other black shirts at the event. If we were counting the peripherals as part of their look, hoodies and shoes etc., the Japanese team would be No. 1.
7. Team Vikings
One of the more unique color schemes in esports, the mustard yellow and black somehow go great together and pop on stage amid the lighting. The logo is also visually interesting.
Acend look cool and collected in their gray, white and purple uniforms. Honestly? They look really nice; they’re just not as visually impactful as the others ahead of them.
— Ty Galiz-Rowe
5. KRÜ Esports
Though KRÜ’s outstanding play against Sentinels is what really made them stand out on stage, their vibrant and stylish hot pink jerseys have certainly helped. The team has stood out every time they’ve taken the stage, but the jerseys themselves are a bit simple.
Gambit’s uniforms are nothing if not distinctive. That’s arguably why they’re not quite at the top in these rankings, as their red, white and blue polo shirt aesthetic is as divisive among Upcomer staff as it is iconic.
Cloud9’s sky blue jerseys match the team’s fun, vibrant energy and underdog spirit. They brighten up the stage with those uniforms and their aggressive, often unexpected play.
2. Team Liquid
The jerseys Team Liquid are sporting at Champions are elegant, to put it simply. Though they feature gold and black accenting, it never becomes gauche or overwhelming. This team looks like professionals ready to take on the competition.
1. Vivo Keyd
Though Vivo Keyd may not have taken home their first international VALORANT crown, they absolutely won this tournament in terms of uniform drip. Their black jerseys with dark purple honeycomb accents are sleek and make the team look great at VCT Champions, win or lose.
