Riot Games has announced that Pringles will serve as the latest sponsor for the 2020 League of Legends European Championship Spring Split. This will be the second time Pringles has partnered with Riot; the first was back in 2019 for the Summer Finals. Pringles joins Kit Kat, Warner Music, and other sponsors for this year’s LEC season.

Pringles, the official snack of LEC

Being the “Official Savoury Snacks Partner” doesn’t just mean that Pringles will provide snacks at the LEC Studios. The company will also give away daily prizes starting Feb. 12. By redeeming codes on the bottom of Pringles cans, players can earn several prizes:

  • Hextech Skins (Hextech Renekton, Hextech Jarvan IV, Hextech Malzahar, Hextech Kog’Maw, Hextech Alistar)
  • EUR 50 Riot Point Vouchers
  • Hextech Chest & Keys

For better odds of winning, contestants will only compete for prizes against other players who entered a code that day. Ten lucky contestants can even win an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the LEC Studios in Berlin. Winners will also receive the RIOT League of Legends Backstage Tour, a meet-and-greet with the casters, and the opportunity to play test on stage.

This year’s League of Legends European Championship Spring Split saw some changes to the tournament format. While the regular season will keep the double-round-robin, best-of-one format, both finalists will have to win at least two matches to make it to the grand final. Champion Points have also been removed as a way for teams to qualify for Worlds. If a team wants to take one of the European slots at the World Championships this year, they will have to win and earn points in the Summer Play-Offs. The Regional Qualifier seen in previous seasons will not return for the 2020 season.

Pringles’ contest will run until May 5 and is only available to European players. For all your League of Legends news, make sure to follow Daily Esports. Drop a comment below if you plan on snacking on some Pringles while your favorite team wins, or loses, in this year’s LEC.
