Metal Rain event mode returns to the PUBG servers

PUBG Corporation is bringing back the most popular limited-time event mode: Metal Rain.

The announcement was made 24 hours before the live release over on PUBG‘s Twitter and announced again today to promote its full release.

For those who don’t remember, Metal Rain is the PUBG event that allows players to find flare guns around the map, then shoot them into the sky to call down care packages. The care packages include extra weapons and supplies, or an armoured UAZ. Players can then use the extra supplies and vehicles for a much higher advantage over other players. Personally, this event is my favourite as it combines a typical round with a fun round.

Metal Rain will be available on Erangel and it’s playable in most regions in third- or first-person perspective. The teams are also in squads of eight.

The event began on July 19 at 10:00pm ET and will run until July 22 at 10:00pm ET. You can use a time converter here if you’re unaware of time zones.

So, go and have some fun with the Metal Rain! I know I will. If you’d like to see more PUBG content, you can check out our other coverage here.
