There have been a variety of limited-time events released in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Now it’s time to delve further into War Mode, just several days after the closure of the Huntsmen and Marksmen event. The event has been released once again from July 12 through July 15.

Nothing has changed from the first time around as you spawn inside the plane and are taken to a small safe zone somewhere on the Sanhok map, where you’ll land and battle it out in 10 teams of five. In other words, it’s all pretty hectic!

All players will spawn with a shotgun, handgun, frag grenade, bandages and level-one armour, though you do have a chance to hunt airdrops which drop every 110 seconds and contain DMRs, SRs, and powerful items to put you one step ahead of your rivals.

Strategic play may be an option but most of the time, the teams are full of all different kinds of players with a variety of play-styles; the best option is to drop somewhere and hope for the best!

Surviving isn’t exactly the aim in this event mode. In my experience: you land, get a kill, die. Although this may sound pointless, it’s great fun and is surprisingly a nice way to practice your aim. It is also a nice stress-buster for when you’ve just spent 30 minutes aiming for that chicken dinner and you’ve died in the final three! Though, this never happens to me.

Huntsmen and Marksmen PUBG event mode

I’ll just pretend that I got this win on my first game. It definitely didn’t take me four hours of continuous failing. Anyways…

How to gain points in Huntsmen and Marksmen

  • Eliminating an enemy earns your team three points, knocks earn one point
  • The first team to reach 200 points wins
  • If no team reaches 200 points after 15 minutes, the team with the most points wins

General rules

  • Each match takes place inside a small, static safe zone
  • Killed players respawn in planes that fly by every 30 seconds
  • Time to revive a downed ally reduced to two seconds
  • World loot and vehicles will not spawn

Schedule

The event mode will begin July 12, at 7:00pm PDT and end on July 15, at 7:00pm PDT.

The NA/EU/AS regions will have access to both third-person and first-person perspective; meanwhile, the KR/JP/SA/SEA/OC regions will only have access to third-person.

Can you still earn achievements or event pass missions on the event mode?

No, Steam achievements and event pass missions are unavailable when playing the event mode, however, players with the event pass will still be able to earn Event Pass Play XP.

Patches or next event schedule?

There has been no mention of any patches from the previous event or any scheduled release for another time. The developers re-released Huntsmen and Marksmen for players who may have missed it previously. I think I’m going to stick to my long sessions leading into the early hours of the morning shouting at myself.

Let us know what your thoughts are on the event mode down in the comments — which event would you like to see next?
