The time taken to Aim Down Sight (ADS) has been increased for all weapons, with sub-machine guns seeing the largest increase:
- Assault rifles: from 0.30s to 0.40s
- SMG in secondary slots: 0.10s up to 0.35s
- DMRs: from 0.30s up to 0.40s
- SMGs: from 0.20s up to 0.30s
- LMGs: from 0.40s up to 0.45s
- Pistol: 0.10s up to 0.20s
- Shotguns: 0.20s up to 0.25s
Operator balancing and updates
For Blackbeard, ADS penalties will only apply when Blackbeard’s Gun Shield is equipped. Weapons without the Gun Shield will maintain the same timings as any other AR, weapons with the Gun Shield will have the same timings as they have now, and the Angled Grip will affect the SCAR both with and without the Gun Shield equipped.
There have been significant updates to operators such as Yokai and Echo, who now have the ability to be hacked. In addition, if Echo drops a phone, this can also be hacked when he is killed. Dokkaebi’s hacking also means that cameras can be accessed by attackers, giving the whole team an advantage. This update allowing an advanced hacking mechanism means Dokkaebi is a valuable operator to have on a team.
The popular operator Ela now has reduced recoil on the Scorpion Evo3, increasing the accuracy of the weapon.
Furthermore, there are some damage alterations: Finka’s spear and Nokk’s FMG9 have received buffs, and Jager’s 416-C damage has been decreased.
Ying has seen the most updates out of the operators available. Candelas have a new outline that only Ying can see, and a Candela can also now detonate on stairs or surfaces that are uneven. The Cluster Flashes have been made more reliable and the amount of pellets per Candela has slightly increased. Most importantly, they now have a reduced detonation time, making the ability more effective.
Gameplay
Jackal has been further aligned with Finka as she is able to use a jammer whilst in a warning area. This provides a solution to Jackal’s limitation of no longer being able to scan footsteps within a warning area.
Visual changes to the gameplay see Glaz’s Holographic Sight undergo changes to its reticle.
Player experience
Bugs causing problems to visual effects have been fixed. When an operator became flashed, issues with the operator’s arm meant it looked twisted. Incorrect animations have been repaired such as to Zofia’s lifeline grenade. Lastly, a minor store and cosmetic fix, combined with the other alterations mentioned above, allows the game to run smoother.
