Ranking Pokémon Unite’s holiday holowear

Pokémon Unite's holiday event is in full swing, so settle in by the fire and join us in determining the cutest holiday holowear

Pokémon Unite’s winter holiday event is in full swing, with a brand new update going live this week introducing the game’s latest fighter, Dragonite. Alongside the chubby orange dragon, we also got the final installments of the Cook and Holiday Style designs, plus a unique one just for Krustle.

What better way to celebrate these new holowear options than by judging them harshly based on how cute they are?

7. Holiday Style: Mamoswine, Garchomp, Blastoise and Gardevoir

They’re just wearing Santa hats. At least Dragonite has a bow and a bell.

6. Cook Style: Mr. Mime

Of all the current Cook Style designs, this one is the most boring. Mr. Mime looks like an awkward busboy.

5. Cook Style: Cramorant

This one is a little basic, as it’s just a chef’s hat and ascot, BUT, the little backpack and spatula makes it pretty cute.

4. Holiday Style: Dragonite

Though not the most exciting of the holiday event designs, Dragonite’s is nice in its simplicity. It has more pizazz than the basic Holiday Style versions with its sash in addition to the hat.

Dragonite looks ready to go caroling, and I love that for them.

3. Holiday Style: Pikachu

Though the animations and background for this holowear are pretty detailed and honestly adorable, it is just a tiny Santa suit for Pikachu. I love that, but it’s not the best design out of this event.

2. Cook Style: Snorlax

This skin is absolutely the most detailed of the Cook Style designs, and that extra detail is what sets it apart. From the Pokéball buttons on the jacket and hat, to the giant spoon strapped across Snorlax’s chest, it’s just great.

1. Cake Style: Krustle

Cake Style: Krustle is EVERYTHING to me. The bell and holly combo is really festive and fun, and the notion of turning a giant rock crab into a whipped cream dessert is whimsical in the best way. The gloves do look a bit like boxing gloves, but I’ll let it slide.
