RazerCon 2020 takes events to the next level with world’s first RGB lighting-reactive live stream

RazerCon 2020, like many IRL events this year, has been cancelled. It’s still happening, however, just not in the way you thought. Last week Razer announced their annual conference would return. Now we know it’s bigger and better than ever. It’s not just any virtual event, it’s a celebration. And Razer has upped the audience experience with enhanced sound and lighting.

RazerCon interactive sound and RGB

Gamers love their RGB. Razer was one of the first to take RGB to new heights. All their latest gear is full chroma including peripherals like the Huntsman and Kraken Pro. Now, Razer has bought RGB to gamers in a completely unique way. RazerCon 2020 will be the world’s first RGB lighting-reactive live stream. But it doesn’t stop there. Combine lights with a full audio experience, and that’s what RazerCon 2020 promises to deliver with their THX audio.

We spoke to Razer to understand what is different about RazerCon to other virtual events. It’s not just the interactive nature of the event, but also the immersion. Razer told Daily Esports:

RazerCon 2020 is not just a virtual event, it is an all-day celebration of gamers and everything gaming related. The show will elevate a stream viewer’s experience through audio visual enhancements from THX and Razer Chroma RGB, starting with showcases of technology and innovation.

It also seems like this interactivity is only the beginning.

More for the viewers

Razer continued to tell us about some of the amazing things they have planned for RazerCon 2020:

RazerCon 2020 will kickstart with a mixed reality keynote speech by Razer’s CEO and Co-founder, Min-Liang Tan. We pulled together gaming and technology partners, and packed the convention with a multitude of events. These include exclusive game announcements and footage, and of course brand new product launches. Overall, the convention will show what’s in store for us gamers when Razer and partners collaborate to propel the gaming industry forward.

It’s not just an event, it’s a celebration for all gamers. There will also be guest appearances from celebrities, and other technology partners. A concert headlined by Sabaton and Herman Li of DragonForce will be sure to wow fans. Plenty of other top EDM artists will be joining the line-up too.

If you’re keen to be involved, make sure you join the RazerCon live stream on Twitch. There are also lots of giveaways from Razer and their partners. You can even join in the fun now by posting and interacting with the team on Twitter with #RazerCon2020. There’s already lots of prizes up for grabs on socials. If you’re lucky enough to be in Las Vegas, you can even swing by the Razer store to pick up some loot.

Don’t miss out on this world first for virtual events. Sign up for the virtual raffle and be sure to tune in for what looks to be an unforgettable experience.
