Things are starting to pick up with the Call of Duty League in terms of activity. For nearly two months, there was almost no news circulating about the teams included for the inaugural CDL season. Though more teams were added, roster and personnel signings were kept quiet for the most part.
However, it seems now organizations are beginning to announce their signings to the world. London and Minnesota announced three players each last week, and New York decided to do the same this week. Along with this, some analysts were also signed to various teams in the past 24 hours.
COD New York inks three splash signings
Though we have had rumors of New York’s roster for some time, it wasn’t official until today. Spacing out all three announcements, New York signed some of the most recognizable names in the Call of Duty scene.

All sporting an Andbox bomber jacket, these three players were among those rumored to be joining New York’s team. COD NYC is backed by Andbox, which is an esports company that already houses the New York XL Overwatch team.
New York is definitely working quickly to fill out their roster, as they already announced their head coach and lead analyst. The first of these player signings was Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparatto, formerly of FaZe Clan. ZooMaa has been one of the most dominant SMG players in the scene since Advanced Warfare.
The next signing was Donny “Temp” Laroda, who is considered to be one of the top players in the world from his performance throughout Black Ops 4. Finally, Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi was the last signing announced. Accuracy was one of the top AR’s in WWII but fell off during Black Ops 4. He and Temp were on the same Splyce roster for some time during BO4.
It’s unknown when the next wave of announcements will take place, but we have a good idea who will fill out New York’s starting roster. According to @INTELCallofDuty, the final two starting spots on NYC will go to Dillon “Attach” Price and Trei “Zer0” Morris.
Atlanta signs an analyst, Australian players being looked at
In other news, COD Atlanta signed a new statistics analyst for their team: Austin O’Neil, a.k.a. @Its_EasyMac on Twitter. This is the second analyst signing for the CDL, as JP Krez was picked up by New York back in August. These analysts will comb through stats to try and give their team an advantage over their opponent.

Moving back over to the players, @INTELCallofDuty reports that three former Mindfreak players are being prospected by CDL teams. These players are Denz, Shockz, and Louqa, all of whom have vast experience in Call of Duty. The report is that various teams are looking at these players as starting candidates, with Paris and Minnesota being the frontrunners to sign them.
