At last, the Red Bull Final Summoning has crowned a champion! Kazunoko, after a thrilling Grand Finals set, and having Fenrich reset the bracket on him, was able to take it in the end with a final strike from his favorite character, Yamcha! Check out the final results below:

1. GGP|Kazunoko (Gotenks, Adult Gohan, Yamcha)
2. CO|Fenrich (Bardock, Cell, Vegeta)
3. CO|Go1 (Piccolo, Bardock, Goku)
4. CO|Dogura (Kid Buu, Android 16, Goku | Kid Buu, Cooler, Goku)
5. BNBBN (Kid Buu, Bardock, Goku)
5. FOX|SonicFox (Hit, Bardock, Android 16)
7. NRG|HookGangGod (Piccolo, Bardock, Vegeta)
7. Kindevu (Gotenks, Android 16, Bardock)

This bracket was an absolute bloodbath. And when the fan favorite to win, Sonic Fox, got knocked out of the bracket early, it was anyone’s game. Kazunoko had four Dragon Ball trophies to his name before the event started, so he was also a favorite to win, and most expected a rematch of EVO 2018 in the Grand Finals between Kazunoko and Sonic Fox. But second place Fenrich came all the way from the Last Chance Qualifier, surprising everyone, to make sure that didn’t happen. Using his team of Bardock/Cell/Vegeta, we got to see why that team is so feared and its synergy used to its absolute potential. I think at one point we saw six level 1 Supers in one combo, doing about 90% damage against Go1’s poor Piccolo. We also got to see BNBBN come out of absolutely nowhere to a dominating 5th place performance.

All in all it was a fantastically run event, full of hype matches, and we saw our first look at season 2 on stage, even though the trailer had already leaked earlier. The second year of the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour begins this year at CEO Daytona on Jun. 28 – 30 and will continue throughout the year, spanning every continent until we reach next year’s explosive and crazy finals.
