Respawn offers update on “No-Reg” issue in Apex Legends Season 5

Season 5 of Apex Legends has been a mixed bag for a majority of the community. On one hand, the map changes to Kings Canyon and some of the weapon balancing have been great additions. However, all of the positive changes have been clouded by the glaring issue with Season 5, being “No-Regs”.

If you’re unfamiliar with this term, it’s essentially a shortened form of “No Registers”. Basically, the problem at hand is that some shots aren’t registering with the person you’re shooting at. Obviously, this is a huge concern in a battle royale shooter like Apex Legends. While a fix isn’t imminent, Respawn has offered an update on the situation.

No-Regs actively being worked on

Easily one of the biggest problems Apex Legends has ever had, No-Regs are causing many to not play until they’re fixed. This is a real shame since Season 5 is a solid installment if you take away that glaring issue.

However, so many fights are dictated by whether or not you’re lucky enough to not receive a No-Reg. Respawn has been actively talking with the community since the problem began, but a patch date is still unknown. However, the developers did post this small update on Twitter earlier today.

While it’s not the news players wanted to hear, at least the developers are letting the community know of their progress. It might be a slow process, but Respawn needs to be careful with a bug of this magnitude. If they release a patch too soon, more issues could arise than what originally existed.

At this time, it would be premature to estimate when a patch would go live in Apex Legends. Every Respawn developer is working from home, which slows down the time frame dramatically. Hopefully, we’ll hear something in the next week or so. Until then, No-Regs will continue wreaking havoc.
