Riot Games partners with Alienware for LCS Arcade

Riot Games has announced the introduction of a PC cafe inside the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) Arena in Los Angeles. Named the LCS Arcade, the PC cafe is part of the league’s existing partnership with gaming computer hardware brand Alienware. Attendees will get a chance to play titles like League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics throughout the season.

“Playing League of Legends on top-of-the-line Alienware hardware, inside the LCS Arena, is an LCS fan’s dream come true,” said Matt Archambault, head of esports partnerships & business development for North America at Riot Games, in a release. “Alienware has been an integral partner in the League of Legends esports ecosystem, especially in North America with the LCS, and we can’t wait to see fans duke it out on the Rift (or elsewhere in Runeterra) at our new LCS Arcade.”

The LCS Arcade will function like a normal “PC bang-style cafe” but boast the latest Alienware gaming PCs, peripherals, and equipment. Fans will get the opportunity to try out Riot Games’ upcoming digital collectible card game Legends of Runeterra, which recently launched in open beta. In addition, those attending weekend matches will have the chance to compete in live 1v1s against some of their favorite content creators and streamers.

“We are extremely excited that the new LCS Arcade will be powered by Alienware’s latest PCs, monitors, and peripherals. We know that LCS attendees will absolutely love the ability to play League when they aren’t in their seats watching even more League,” said Bryan de Zayas, Global Director of Marketing at Alienware. “The Alienware setups in the arcade give on-site fans the opportunity to play on the same high-performance hardware the pros are using on the LCS stage.”

Alienware is the official PC and display partner for the LCS and LEC leagues. It is also tournament-ready as showcased through their partnerships with the Mid-Season Invitational, All-Stars, and World Championship international events. The LCS Arcade will be located at the former merchandise store inside the LCS Studio, available beginning Week 2 of the 2020 season.
