Rocket League Sideswipe, the new mobile version of Rocket League, has entered competitive season 1 after a near month-long pre-season. With the official launch of competitive seasons comes a crossover event with the regular version of Rocket League.

Upon logging in to Rocket League Sideswipe with the same Epic Games account as the one they use for the main game, players can unlock items for both by completing two challenges before Jan. 25, 2022. These challenges include logging in and winning 20 online matches, and will unlock the Nuhai Inverted Wheels and the Wow! Goal Explosion. Also, just by logging in, players will unlock the “Water Resistant” Player Anthem by Anamanaguchi in the main game.

Rocket League Sideswipe enters Season 1

Rocket League Sideswipe launched in waves throughout November on Android and iOS. Fans quickly jumped at the chance to play Rocket League on the go and the initial response in the community has been very positive. The game also sits at 4.6 out of 5 stars on the Apple Store.

“Okay Sideswipe is actually sick lmao, who am I gaming in Sweden?” RLCS caster Alex “Stumpy” Knight tweeted. Fans will be able to see more of him in Stockholm, Sweden for the Fall Major on Dec. 8.

In Sideswipe Season 1, the ranks players reached in the pre-season have been reset. However, those that did take part in pre-season will receive a title of their highest-earned rank. The free Rocket Pass has also reset. 50 levels can be earned by playing the game and will award items that are also available in the regular game. Level one will immediately unlock the Diestro battle-car, which resembles a 1992 Ferrari 512M Testarossa in the front and a Lamborghini Countach at the rear. The Diestro sports a Dominus hitbox, which is also available in Rocket League Sideswipe at level 10.

Season 1 of Rocket League Sideswipe will last until Monday, Jan. 24. Make sure to check out our guides on various aspects of the game, including how to fast aerial with one button press.

Rocket League Sideswipe is available for free on all Android and iOS devices and can be played with both touch screen controls and a controller.
