Thanks to the Fortnite v10.20 update, we already know about this week’s challenges. We went over the Fortnite Week 5 challenges in-depth earlier today, so make sure to check that out as well. In the Battle Pass section for those challenges, there is a classic “Search between” Fortnite Battle Star hunt. Today, we’ll be going over just where to find this Battle Star and how to complete the challenge, “Search between a rotary phone, a fork-knife, and a hilltop house full of Carbide and Omega posters.”
How to complete this Fortnite Week 5 challenge
The only thing required to complete this challenge is having access to the Season X Battle Pass. If you didn’t buy the pass, this challenge cannot be completed. However, if you did purchase it, then you are free to finish it anytime you wish (during Season X).
In order to complete this challenge, we have to look at the Fortnite map. The second part of the challenge phrase, fork-knife, is the easiest point to start from since it can be seen on the map. If you look to the northwest of Fatal Fields, you’ll see the outline of a fork and knife.
On the snowy hill south from that location is where the rotary phone can be found. To the north of the phone is another mountain with a house on top, which is where the Carbide and Omega Posters are.
Using these three coordinates, we can pinpoint the exact spot we need to search to complete this challenge.
Once you make it to the above area, search around for a bit and a Battle Star will appear. Interact with it and this challenge is complete! Remember though — the Fortnite Week 5 challenges won’t go live until Thursday, Aug. 29 at 11 a.m. EST. So, you won’t be able to complete this challenge until then.
