In their planned announcement for today, Seattle Call of Duty revealed their first roster signings. For Seattle’s first bit of information regarding the 2020 Call of Duty League, they announced their starting five along with the head coach. While more announcements are to come, this is the bulk of news the team will release concerning their roster.
At the time of writing, however, we still don’t know when their brand reveal will be unveiled. That said, the franchise will most likely wait until after Modern Warfare launches to spread out their announcements accordingly. Their supposed team name is the Seattle Surge, according to a leak from the official CDL website.
Seattle’s starting roster for 2020
Like most of the news coming out of the CDL, the content of this announcement was expected. We didn’t know everything Seattle would be revealing, but we did know it would include a starting roster. Not only that, but we also knew exactly who those five players would be.

Thanks to @INTELCallofDuty, we know a majority of the rosters in the CDL. Some haven’t been announced yet, but they are all but confirmed. With Seattle, we now have confirmation on those previous leaks. Here’s the official Seattle Call of Duty starting five and head coach:
- Damon “Karma” Barlow
- Ian “Enable” Wyatt
- Sam “Octane” Larew
- Josiah “Slacked” Berry
- Brian “Apathy” Zhelyazkov
- Joey “Nubzy” DiGiacomo (head coach)
At first glance, this roster seems stacked from top to bottom. The lineup includes 3-time World Champion Karma along with 2-time champ Apathy. Also on the team is arguably the best Assault Rifle player in Octane and a bonafide leader with Enable.
Every player on this roster has experience winning and competing at a high level. All of them have taken a championship within the past year or so. As for the head coach, Nubzy was most recently the coach of Gen.G in Black Ops 4, who won quite a few games.
With the starting roster in place, all that’s left is for Seattle to fill a few personnel and substitute spots. They also have their brand to announce. According to their official Twitter, this brand reveal could be coming Oct 30.
As we can see above, an announcement is set for Oct 30. Presumably, this will be their official brand unveiling.
