Although the hype around Netflix’s League of Legends series “Arcane” has died down a bit, Riot Games is starting to use some shimmer of their own with the announcement that Teamfight Tactics will be bringing in Silco from the hit animated show in February of 2022.

Silco coming to TFT: Gizmos and Gadgets marks the mid-set update for TFT Set 6. These mid-set updates are usually game-changing with new champions and traits, and Silco will be making his debut in TFT before he even makes an appearance in the game he originates from. This also marks the first time a champion or character will make their debut on TFT instead of League of Legends. Additionally, Riot explained that Silco may open the floodgates for future TFT exclusive characters and champions.

“While Silco may be the first non-League unit to join TFT, there may be more outsiders joining us in the future. Maybe some from outside of Runeterra entirely,” Rodger “MinionsRpeople2” Caudill, the communications specialist behind TFT, said.

Riot has recently shared its IP with other game titles in celebration of “Arcane.” Those included Jinx appearing in Fortnite and character costumes in Among Us. But, none of those properties were shared back in League of Legends. This announcement may hint at other IPs being intertwined into Riot titles, with perhaps TFT being the main target.

There are very few details on the role that Silco will have in the game. In the official release by Riot, the developer shared some concept art and models of how Silco will look inside TFT.

“While we aren’t ready to share details about Silco’s kit just yet,” Caudill said, “I will tell you that he will be a Mastermind when it comes to combat.”
