Announced on September 23, 2018 via the official Soulcalibur Twitter, a network test will be available on Friday, September 28. Players will be able to log-in on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and engage in Ranked Match mode on the Beta.

Recently revealed characters like Raphael and Cervantes while enticing, won’t be available at the time of the beta. That said, this will be the first opportunity for many to engage in the game at all and see what it has to offer.

Preparing For The Soul Calibur 6 Ranked Network Beta

On September 27, 2018, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will be able to search “Soulcalibur VI” in the Microsoft Store on Xbox One and PS Store on PS4. This will guide them to the Network Test for download. Once downloaded, this will serve as the launch into the Network Test and Ranked match on Friday, September 28 the following day at 8AM PT. The end time is slated for Monday, October 1, 2018 at 8PM PT. A Xbox Live Gold or PS Plus Subscription will be required to play. You can check out detailed instructions in Bandai Namco’s official Soulcalibur VI Network Test announcement.

Originally leaked at an event far before their announcement, unfortunately Cervantes and Raphael won’t be available for play in the beta.

Also included in Bandai Namco’s announcement for those who haven’t had a chance to try Soul Calibur 6 yet are some helpful control guides. There are PDFs available for both a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One guide that feature both general game mechanics and individual characters. Tira isn’t included in this network test, perhaps because of her status as Day 1 launch DLC for the game. Even so, every other revealed character seems to be represented on the guide PDFs.

Read up, download the Soul Calibur 6 Network Test on September 27, and get ready to throw down! We’ll have further information and the latest info on the game as it becomes available. Don’t forget to check out our other Soul Calibur 6 coverage!
