Evil Geniuses Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte and former Ninjas in Pyjamas in-game leader Adam “ec1s” Eccles were two players who participated in trials for 100 Thieves’ VALORANT roster, multiple sources told Upcomer and VLR.gg on Friday.

Neither player has signed for the team, but 100 Thieves have made significant efforts to sign an in-game leader during the off-season. Prior to the start of the VALORANT Champions Tour next year, 100 Thieves need to sign two more players to complete their roster.

Former Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas player ec1s resides in the United Kingdom. If the organization signed him, he would likely relocate to the United States to play alongside the rest of the team. He recently practiced with the side on high ping, however.

Ec1s has a decorated history in VALORANT. He most notably played for Team Liquid, previously Fish123, for around six months prior to his benching. Since then, the Brit played under Ninjas in Pyjamas during the VCT European Stage 3 Challengers 2 Qualifier and the second Red Bull Home Ground.

Ec1s was released alongside the rest of the Ninjas in Pyjamas roster a few days ago, he announced on Twitter.

Brehze, on the other hand, has played CS:GO at the highest level both internationally and regionally. He has played under Evil Geniuses since 2019.

100 Thieves are not expecting any further losses to the roster, however. Following the disappointing third-place finish during the VCT Last Chance Qualifier in November, 100 Thieves released their head coach, Hector “FrosT” Rosario. 100 Thieves later underwent a significant rebuild with Nick “nitr0” Cannella pondering a potential move back to CS:GO at the time, as first reported by Upcomer on Nov. 12.

The team also released former analyst Aaron “b0i” Thao from the organization, who started for the roster during the Last Chance Qualifier. This left 100 Thieves with the core roster of Spencer “Hiko” Martin, Ethan “Ethan” Arnold and Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk, while substitute Johann “seven” Hernandez remains on the bench.
