Sector One’s roster will be:

  • Top: Elias “Lumerion” Gashonga
  • Jungle: Janne “dibu” Heikkonen
  • Mid: Anselmi “Simpli” Rintanen
  • Bot: Adam “Emtest” Emtestam
  • Support: Radoslav “Infoneral” Georgiev
  • Coach: Robbe “Anthrax” Dobbeleers

Jungler dibu returns to Sector One from his time with them in 2020 where Sector One achieved incredible domestic success. The organization won the Belgian League spring, summer and the Country Finals, and qualified to the European Masters play-ins in both seasons. He previously played for LowLandLions and helped them qualify for the Elite Series 2022 spring through the promotion tournament along with head coach Anthrax playing support. While Anthrax has coached for a short stint as strategic coach at PSV Esports, this will be his first full season as head coach.

Lumerion joins from his time with PSV Esports in the Dutch League, where PSV have announced they will be taking a step back from participating in the upcoming Elite Series. Lumerion helped PSV win the Dutch League 2021 spring season and qualify for the subsequent EU Masters tournament.

Simpli and Emtest both join from the Northern League of Legends Championship ecosystem; they previously played on KOVA Esports and Dusty respectively last summer. While Simpli has plied his trade mostly in the Nordic leagues, Emtest is a journeyman and has played for teams like Galakticos in Turkey. Support Infoneral joins from Dutch League team Echo Zulu where he helped them to finish third last summer and also in the Country Finals.

As an organization, Sector One are one of the older names in the Benelux scene. Founded in 2014, Sector One has competed in many tournaments within the region and “with the help of many volunteers in our community and a management team with bigger strategic goals, Sector One grew to become the most successful esports organization in the Benelux,” as their website states.

They are also the most decorated team within the Belgian League era before the Elite Series merger, winning everything domestically in 2020 and also capturing the title in 2021 summer. They also finished second in 2021 spring and the Country Finals. They were directly invited to participate in the Elite Series as one of the top three teams in the Belgian League.
