T1 continue to make additions to their roster

North American and South Korean organization T1 is in discussions to sign 100 Thieves substitute player Johann “seven” Hernandez, multiple sources told Upcomer on Dec. 13. He is yet to sign for the roster.

T1’s VALORANT team have made several moves during the course of the offseason with the team recently acquiring in-game leader Joshua “steel” Nissan from 100 Thieves.

T1 have continued to practice without Timothy “Autimatic” Ta, who edges closer to a move back to CS:GO.

T1 have trialed several other players, including SoaR player Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban. SoaR have set a high buyout for the player, however, according to multiple sources. Cryocells has a trial with XSET too, following the removal of Bryce “PureR” Lovell from their starting roster, as reported by Upcomer.

The organization also practiced with Luminosity Gaming player Tanner “TiGG” Spanu, but he has since continued to play with LG.

What’s next for seven?

Seven is yet to compete in the VALORANT Champions Tour. He joined 100 Thieves in late September following the team’s top four finish at VCT Masters in Berlin, Germany. Seven has not competed with the team since he joined, however. 100 Thieves played with former analyst Aaron “b0i” Thao during the VCT North America Last Chance Qualifier.

Prior to joining 100 Thieves, Seven rose to prominence in the North American scene following his impressive performances in third-party tournaments with ‘Teal Seam,’ a young, unsigned roster.

T1 had a disappointing season during VCT 2021. The North American side failed to qualify for an international Masters event and missed out on a spot at Champions. The team did not meet the required circuit points necessary to qualify for the Last Chance Qualifier either.

T1 is set to compete in the upcoming VCT, which will begin at the start of next year.
