Immortals is set to sign Robert “truo” Pham to its VALORANT roster, multiple sources told Upcomer June 22.

Truo, who typically plays a duelist in VALORANT, could replace Rhett “Kehmicals” Lynch on Immortals, according to one source. Truo will be moved to the Sentinels role, if the transfer occurs.

While truo is yet to join a professional roster he has performed well at the semi-professional level. He’s most known for his impressive Jett and Reyna, which were on full display in recent matches.

He is set to compete with the team for the upcoming North American VALORANT Champions Tour Stage 3 Challengers Open Qualifier 1, which will begin July 1.

Immortals have been known to pick-up some of the most well known VALORANT prospects. The organization signed Nicholas “NaturE” Garrison, who would later go on to join Gen.G. But Immortals are most well known for the acquisition of 20-year old Noah “jcStani” Smith.

The North American organization has played relatively well regionally since Immortals entered VALORANT in May, 2020. The original roster, which was spearheaded by jcStani, would later be entirely changed.

Immortals qualified for both Stage 1 and Stage 2 in January and April respectively. At Stage 1 Challengers 1, which concluded in Febuary, Immortals finished in second place, just behind Sentinels. Immortals took down XSET, Gen.G and Luminosity but could not defeat the best in the world.

Immortals recently finished in the top six at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: North America Stage 2 Challengers 2 tournament in April. While Immortals managed to take down TSM in the first round, they were defeated by NRG in the upper bracket semi finals. Sentinels once again took down the side in the second round of the lower bracket to send Immortals home.

Immortals would likely field the following roster with the acquisition.

  • Truo
  • Amgalan “Genghsta” Nemekhbayar
  • Andrew “ShoT_Up” Orlowski
  • Daniel “Rossy” Abedrabbo
  • Jonah “JonahP” Pulice
