Streamer Showdown contestants
The first contestant is Gaby Spartz. She is most well known for her Twitch channel which features over 80,000 followers, but has almost 40,000 subscribers on YouTube as well. She began playing Magic: The Gathering in 2011, but also streams CCGs, RPGs, Adventure, Puzzle, and Survival games on her channel. Spartz is currently a writer and broadcaster for MTG along with being a Twitch Ambassador for 2019.
The second contender is Kenji Egashira. He currently plays MTG under Team SoloMid and has almost 100,000 followers on Twitch. He is also just shy of 25,000 subscribers on YouTube. Egashira has played Magic for twenty years, but only started competing in 2011. He has also won tournaments like 2017’s Magic Online Championship Series Open.
The third competitor is Amy “Amazonian” Demicco. While currently playing under Complexity Gaming, she started back in 2009. She has almost 30,000 followers on Twitch and some of her recent achievements include 3 – 4th at Twitch Rivals: Magic Arena Showdown, 33 – 64th at 2019’s Mythic Championship III, and 13 – 16th at the Mythic Invitational.
ELEAGUE MTG Arena event
Weirdly enough, the Streamer Showdown event will be live streamed on the same day as ELEAGUE’s SHOWDOWN event for Magic: The Gathering. The two events will be shown at different times, almost five hours apart. ELEAGUE’s SHOWDOWN event presented by Intel Gamer Days will continue weekly each Wednesday at 8 pm until December 18. However, not much information has been given on the website yet regarding rules.
Streamer Showdown’s Magic: The Gathering Arena edition will be streamed on Twitch on September 4 at 3 pm EDT. Are you interested in any other MTG personalities being featured on such a show? Let us know in the comments below. Check out Daily Esports for all of your latest MTG coverage.
