How to unlock Super Styles in Fortnite Season 8

A new way to customize Battle Pass skins in Season 8

Earlier, developer Epic Games released the v18.10 update for Fortnite Season 8. It introduced some changes to the XP system, a new item in the Chili Chug Splash and fresh ways to customize certain Battle Pass skins. As with other seasons in Fortnite Chapter 2, Epic brought Super Styles for specific skins, unlocked through the Battle Pass. However, in order to unlock each of the styles, players need to meet some requirements first.

These requirements aren’t something that can be done in a simple play session, either. Luckily, the reward seems worth the trouble. Epic has introduced three Super Styles for the following skins: Charlotte, Kor, Fabio Sparklemane, J.B. Chimpanski and Torin. The styles are called “Runic” and each come with their own color scheme. If players want to ensure they get the most out of Fortnite Season 8, they can learn how to unlock the Super Styles below.

Unlocking Super Styles in Fortnite Season 8

There are three Runic Styles in Season 8, being Blue, Purple and Golden. As players would expect, when they unlock a specific Runic Style, their skins don a new color. The colors improve as players unlock each new style, with the Golden Runic Style truly standing out.

Below, players can see how to unlock each separate Runic Super Style in Fortnite.

Blue Runic Super Style

  • Reach Level 140
  • Claim 110 Rewards in the Season 8 Battle Pass
  • Claim 10 Bonus Rewards in the Season 8 Battle Pass

Purple Runic Super Style

  • Reach Level 140
  • Claim 115 Rewards in the Season 8 Battle Pass
  • Claim 15 Bonus Rewards in the Season 8 Battle Pass

Golden Runic Super Style

  • Reach Level 140
  • Claim 120 Rewards in the Season 8 Battle Pass
  • Claim 20 Bonus Rewards in the Season 8 Battle Pass

Players first need to reach Level 140 for all three styles, before claiming an increasing amount of Rewards and Bonus Rewards. It will take some time, but players have a couple of months until Fortnite Season 9 arrives.

For players wondering about the other Battle Pass skins in Fortnite — Carnage and Toona Fish — they likely won’t receive any Super Styles in Season 8.
