A reddit clip has surfaced recently, that seems to show a new automatic pistol in Call of Duty: Warzone. The Sykov pistol has been previously leaked by data-miners, but isn’t an announced piece of future content. However, this is our first time seeing the weapon in action in a public Warzone match.

The Sykov is a sidearm that was first leaked in December of 2020. A fully automatic weapon, the gun was originally leaked in the Modern Warfare game files. However, many data-miners believe it will eventually join the Warzone weapon pool, and this new clip only adds fuel to the fire.

Sykov pistol coming to Warzone soon?

The reddit clip in question sees user “RestlessGoats” call in a Weapon Drop and be rewarded with something completely unexpected. Instead of a standard Modern Warfare or Black Ops Cold War weapon, the Sykov pistol ended up in the player’s hands.

The incident came about during a match of Plunder mode, but it’s unclear if this is at all related. When RestlessGoats equips the Sykov, they can inspect and fire it like any normal weapon. The specific Blueprint for this variant of the Sykov features a greenish camo, a red dot reticle and a suppressor of some sort.

As previously mentioned, this automatic pistol is actually found within the Modern Warfare game files. However, there hasn’t been a significant content update for that title since Black Ops Cold War released. Previous Call of Duty games have added content beyond their year-long life cycle though, so it could happen.

It’s unclear how Activision or the developing studios would handle the introduction of this weapon. Perhaps Activision is planning a new content drop for Modern Warfare that will add additional weapons to Warzone. Although it’s a possibility, Infinity Ward is no longer developing MW full-time, so we’re not sure when or how the Sykov would release.

The Sykov was able to be unlocked in Modern Warfare, but not officially

Nonetheless, it’s clear there are plans for the automatic pistol in some form, so we’ll have to wait and see what Activision has in store. Stay tuned to Daily Esports for updates on Warzone weaponry and other Call of Duty news.
