Dignitas recently released its main Valorant roster, but opted to keep its all-female counterpart. The main roster struggled to perform at minor tournaments and the Stage 1 VCT qualifiers. However, after replacing Harrison “psalm” Chang for Hunter “BabyJ” Schline, the former Dignitas roster has been looking better. They are currently competing at the VCT Stage 2 Challengers under the name ‘Rice and Meatballs.’

T1 has been struggling to keep things together after replacing several pieces of their original roster. There has yet to be an iteration of the T1 roster who has consistently performed at the events they competed at. This point has been furthered by their elimination from the VCT Stage 2 in round 32 after getting obliterated by ex-Dignitas.

T1 struggle to get over 10 rounds against Rice and Meatballs

Rice and Meatballs chose Haven as the first map of the series which allowed T1 to start on defense. Despite the defender advantage for the map, T1 looked lost in comparison to their opponents. Rice and Meatballs were able to swiftly take over the game during the first half, leading by 9-3. The second half continued the snowball which eventually led to the game finishing at 13-4 in favor of ex-Dignitas.

T1 had chosen Icebox as the second map of the series, but the results were similar to Haven. Rice and Meatballs lead by 7-5 at the half before obliterating T1 in the second half. T1 was only able to win one round before the game finished 13-6. Sam “DaZeD” Marine was the only one to go positive for T1 on Icebox with a final score of 15/14.

Rice and Meatball’s main duelist, GianFranco “koalanoob” Potestio was the MVP of the series. His impressive performance on Jett landed him a 2.36 KD rating after he went 45/19. On Haven alone, koalanoob went a staggering 22/6 across the 17 rounds. 100 Thieves will be Rice and Meatballs’ next challenge in round 16 of the tournament. The winner of the match will move on to the Stage 2 closed qualifier.
