Take a look inside the Chase Center: The 2022 Worlds finals venue

The 2022 Worlds finals will be the second time Riot has hosted an event at the home of the Golden State Warriors

On Sunday, Riot Games announced all of the locations for the 2022 League of Legends World Championship. Included therein was Mexico City, New York City, Toronto and San Francisco, with the 2022 Worlds finals being held in the Chase Center.

The Chase Center is home to the Golden State Warriors, located in San Francisco, directly on the bay. The venue, just over two years old, will host the premier event in all of esports in 2022. It seats nearly twenty thousand fans in a typical basketball game — though, due to the construction of the stage, it may not be at full capacity for the Worlds finals.

This isn’t the first time that Riot is to hold a finals event in the home of the Golden State Warriors. It previously held the 2018 League Championship Series summer finals in the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, before the team moved across the bay.

Not only is the Chase Center new, but it is indeed an upgrade over the Warriors’ previous home. The arena has a premium option for every single seat available. This means that, no matter what ticket you buy, you have the ability to go to a special bar, private suite, theatre box or enjoy some other fancy amenity.

And, for all of those special features, there are elevators and escalators around for easy access and transportation between locations.

Not only that, but the screen in the center of the arena is absolutely massive. Even the miniature screens, underneath the main screens, were said to be bigger than the main screen of the Oracle Arena.
