North American esports organization Team Envy has parted ways with manager Taylor “Tailored” Broomall and coach Zachary “Eley” Stauffer of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster. This coaching staff change comes almost a week after Gen.G acquired Sam “s0m” Oh for its newly-established CSGO team.

Team Envy opens up applications
“Are you ready to step up and lead? Envy CS:GO is searching for support staff including Manager & Head Coach,” Team Envy wrote in a social media post. The organization followed this up with a link to an application for interested applicants to submit their resumes.
Both Tailored and Eley joined Team Envy in September of 2018. The two were part of the former Splyce roster acquisition that consisted of players Taylor “Drone” Johnson, Stephen “reltuC” Cutler, and Kory “SEMPHIS” Friesen. Noah “Nifty” Francis and Josh “jdm64” Marzano also joined in the same wave. Since joining, the team has gone through several changes, with only Nifty remaining from the initial Splyce roster acquisition.
Poor performance in 2019
The team also hasn’t achieved much, save for a few qualifier events. Some placements during the 2018 season included 11th at Season 8 of North America’s ESL Pro League and 7 – 8 at DreamHack Open Atlanta in 2018. During 2019, Team Envy obtained 3rd at Katowice’s Americas Minor Championship, a 7 – 8 place finish at Intel Extreme Masters XIV Chicago, 13 – 16 at DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019, and 9 – 10 at ESL Pro League Season 10 for the Americas region. While this seems like a lot, these are all bottom-half bracket placements with almost no earnings.
The current roster consists of Nifty, Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor, Jacob “FugLy” Medina, and Ryan “ryann” Welsh. After being eliminated at the IEM XIV World Championships qualifiers, the team has no scheduled events remaining for the rest of the year. With this news, the team has opened up job applications as they head into 2020.
